This bottle knocked it out of the park! Beautifully balanced, white flowers, honeyed elegant with a superb finish perhaps the best version of this terroir I have had — 11 days ago
Pop and pour. A splendid medium straw color. On the nose: asian pear, crisp apples, lemon rind, almonds, floral. Taste: chalky, oily, vibrant wine with lemon zest, white peach, saline, slate, and a mineral lime peel long finish. YUM! Nice compelling wine at 19 years. — 17 days ago
White burg perfection. Captivatingly complex aromatics with Coche fireworks on full display, layered with popcorn, citrus oils and white flowers. What texture on the palate. Incredible volume and density, particularly for the vintage, fills the mouth with vibrant energy and phenomenal length. So good. — 17 days ago
Very nicely aged Morgon with all that Gamay ripened cherry fruit earth goodness with soft balanced profile on palate and a finish that is well, elegant? — 4 hours ago
There’s nothing basic about this Bourgogne Blanc!
It’s absolutely lovely. With elegant notes of fresh white peach, nectarine, yellow apple, apricot, lemon peel, citrus blossom, chalk, wet slate, salinity, and sapidity; also, delicate cream, flintiness, and cheese rind notes and perhaps a touch of reduction, presenting as struck match. The palate is dry, with medium alcohol (13%), medium (+) acidity.
It fermented with wild yeasts and aged 11 months in a combination of barrels and stainless steel, followed by an addition 7 months in stainless steel tanks.
This wine has verve and vibrancy and is positively delicious.
Cheers to beautiful Bourgogne Blanc wines to write home about!! — a month ago
