Coteaux Bourguignons 'Correaux' Vieilles Vignes 2015

It’s always the last bottle that seems to be the best. This is a gamay and Pinot Noir blend from a producer that makes incredible Burgundy like Chardonnay. Red fruits, acid medium plus, underbrush & wild berries on nose. With the age much tartness has been replaced by depth. Somehow has a stateliness about it- nothing rustic here. Just yum. — 9 days ago

Roncevie Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

The lushness of the vintage with good minerality and floral notes. A touch over new oak here but should get thru with no issues with a few years in the cellar. Excellent QPR. — 10 days ago

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018

8.9 on Day 1. 9.3 on Day 2. Punched above its price on Day 2. Nice entry level Burgundy that held up with pizza. — 8 days ago

Burgundy lite! Cranberry and red apple, hints of earth, with the acidity and juiciness of gamay. Could drink this everyday. — 7 days ago

Domaine Louis Michel

Vaudésir Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2016

🏅 Rating 93/100 (4,3⭐)

Intense color with greenish hue. Fragrant aromatic, concentrated, sea salinity. Floral, almonds. Medium body. Unmistakably demonstrates the Grand Cru level which is accessible now and has immense potential for years ahead. Fully justifies the nobility of Vaudesir which often considered on par or the runner up to Le Clos.

Fairly steep slopes of Vaudesir with NW exposure provide cool temperatures and sunlight in the evening. Vines of Louis Michel parcels were planted in 1950-70s.

Winemaking with indigenous yeasts, spontaneous malo and matured for at least 18 months. Wines never see oak, stainless steel tanks only.

Bourgogne Aligoté 2018

Aligote in a sundress. Tropical music and live fire dances. Like reduced clementine syrup with pulp of green mango. Also hot flint, smokey peach and green papaya. Explosive fruit flavors flipping little light switches in your head - sour apricot, syrupy canned peaches, and sweet clementine. — 10 days ago

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2013

Very spicy and smokey. Good for vintage, although a less familiar profile, or character, than I am used to for this wine. — 4 days ago

Chiroubles Gamay 2015

Well aged in Magnum format. A very beautiful beaujolese vintage who pinotes as we like. Notes of grape variety: cherries, rose petals and iris.. Beautiful notes of evolution dried flowers, truffled, humus. The 2015 density and the evolving aerial nuances of gamay form a rich and refined bouquet. Very greedy. Interesting final for this type of wine.
