Last of my bottles & a bit sad to see it go- these were soulful wines, demanding not just in managing & extracting their corks but in leaning in to taste what they have to say. After a double decant & cheesecloth/strainer, tasted over 2 days, using a half bottle for day 2. What I loved was the wholeness & evocativeness of the wine, with all the parts having melded; fairly closed on nose but by day 2 old forest floor, rose hips, & black tea leaves; on palate all that & rose petals, dried cherries. Old-school Italian wine that is perfect for pizza. Somewhat thin and alcoholic but typical of wines served in Italian restaurants in Brooklyn when I was small. Flavorful and a perfect match to the marinara sauce of New York Patsy’s Pizzeria or Joe & Pat’s. — 4 months ago

Really a very nice alto Piemonte. Such a refined and perhaps even gentle Nebbiolo. Tannins relatively smooth which surprised me a bit. Wonderful refreshing acid and nice finish. Delicious pairing with iberico pork on the grill. — 3 months ago

Nose: fascinating. Red roses. Mineral. Toast. Lemon flower.

Palate: mineral cherries. So bright. Linear. Perfect. So clean. Flawless. Like. A diamond. Complex. Fruit. Acidity. Grippy yet weightless.

Long.

Champagne lovers should buy this by the case.
