How nice it is to move away from domestic wines, and relearn that there are equally outstanding examples on other continents - let me introduce you to exhibit A.
This is an Aussie benchmark displaying grapefruit, lemon and a hint of lanolin. Palate is squeaky clean, with a razor-sharp, flinty edge. Finishes long, with tension and weight. Kissed with light oak treatment, and pristine white fruits, this will run well beyond another 15 years. Brilliant. — a day ago
Wow! Beautiful and complex flavors. Hints of chocolate and vanilla. Excellent balance of tannins - a crowd favorite. Crowd covid style no more than 3 households, outdoors and socially distanced of course! Would buy again and again. — 6 months ago
Art and science. Plumage. Outstanding co-ferment and zero/zero to boot. I got a ton of citrus, stone, and plums in the nose. Amazing tannin on the palate with more of the apple shining through but clearly a plum wine. So well balanced and great with dinner. Highly recommend. — 14 days ago
Much better than the 2016 I had recently. Nice blend that is drinking well right now. A bit on the expensive side for what it delivers, but no regrets purchasing it — 22 days ago
Smokey, anise, eucalyptus, and blueberry cream. Acid over tannin with almost underripe blueberry. Elegant. Reminiscent of a well made Croze Hermitage with great length and purity of fruit. Well done. Drink now. — 21 days ago
Well balanced, a little fruity, very good with steak — 7 hours ago
Watermelon rinds, white flowers on the nose. Dry, light effervescence but nice subtle bitterness and mouth feel. Strawberry rhubarb and med acidity. — a month ago
