What a wine.. 😁 there's just nothing like unfiltered, unfined, and unhinged Sauvignon Blanc. It's like my love for German Hefeweizen - hazy, but all of the flavor that Bevan would just lose if he wanted a star bright wine.. looks aren't everything. All the main indicators of SB, and much more - lemon grass, grapefruit reduction, unpasteurized clover honey, white peppercorn, vanilla, Meyer lemon, and white pear. Juicy acidity, intense and inviting florals, and fun to look at in the glass. 2016 is a great year for Bevan SB. — 9 years ago

Nose is UNHINGED! Pizza spices, bell pepper, pepperchini. VEGETAL. Palette lags behind but still delicious. Light medium body. Tasted blind with Jordan & Packer — 4 years ago
What a treat! Polished and structure with a dusty but firm tannic spine and a mouthwatering acidity. Nonetheless, it never loses the charms of its Portuguese indigenous varieties - unhinged floral perfumes. Licorice, anise, fennel, white pepper, violet, earl grey, and hibiscus. #sommcon — 8 years ago

This is why I love Northern Rhone Syrah, this is bonkers good and so young but showing very well. As good as it is now I see it getting even better in 7-10+ years as time chips away and starts to impart more space in the layers.of complexity that ring this wines personality.
Dark red currants, blackberry, mother rock granite, piquant meat, smoke, and charcoal embers. Perfect structure, ripe and firm tannin and great acidity. Ferral, wild and unhinged this is what drinking great wine is all about!

Really well balanced Cab. Smooth after it opens up. Great with a steak. — 4 years ago
I’ve got stories.
The less appreciated Cortázar, Argentinian writer born and Belgium and died in Paris, could spin a good yarn, too.
Red, clay, soil earthiness, redwood breeze, and a currant spice note. Leather and plums all in the bouquet.
Gotta let this one rest a bit. Mouth-numbing pink peppercorn spice, not spicy per se, but feisty.
Charcoaled bark, medium to high acidity, a bit less fruit, but obviously still there.
This was recommended to me as a step up from wines produced in the Vacqueyras appellation. While I can see that it’s a bit more grown up, reserved, balanced, and classic. I don’t think I like it better — I enjoy raucous, wild, young, and brash. There’s more adventure. There’s more unhinged flavor surprises, which naturally lead to better stories. And, really, what else is there?
Good competition, but not sold just yet, Gallo-Roman medieval land and all. — 6 years ago

Right below Rugiens and it shows instantly. Kindly and confectionary nose. Like the carnival stopped off in Pommard. Gorgeous mid season and sour cherries and stunning mineral depth. Palate is unhinged in the best way. Super sweet and confectionary but slathered in minerals and ripe tannins. Perfect balance and very very long. Surprisingly accessible for a Poutures. Unreal concentration and brightness and the sweetness lingers and lingers. The tiny berry fruit intensity is off the charts. This is outrageous. Just insane inner mouth aromas. — 9 months ago
