We had the 2017 Vintage on 1/3/26. A fantastic Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara. An earthy bouquet with subtle red fruit. Raspberry, strawberry, clove, mushroom and baking spice on the palate. Nice mouthfeel to this Medium bodied, well balanced and still New World wine. Of all the wines we had on our May, 2025 trip to SB, this was the best. We bought this at the winery. — 6 months ago

Had the 2022 vintage in Feb 2026. Fruity and spicy taste and nice to drink — 5 months ago
From the Far Niente winery. Medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, floral, spice and citrus. On the palate apple, melon and pear flavors, with lemon zest, vanilla and toasty notes. Nice balance with bright acidity on long finish, savory with spicy rich oaky mineral ending, slightly creamy, very nice! — 7 months ago
Drank with Susan in Braga. Quite lovely. — a year ago
I couldn’t pass up picking up a bottle of the “Sideways” 20th anniversary bottling of Hitching Post’s Highliner. Aside from the movie recognition, it’s a damn good Pinot, though a bit heavier in style than others. Vivid, fresh flavors of cranberry and cherry with a bit of spice. Delicious. Fruit sourced from three different vineyards in Santa Barbara County. 100% Pinot Noir. 4/28/25. — a year ago
Smooth full bodied with dark berry fruit, well balanced, drinking well now and maybe 2-3 more years when we’ll stored. — 4 years ago
Zwarte bessen, stevige body, klein zoetje in afdronk. Heerlijk met stoofvlees. — 5 years ago
Classic Pinot and perfect with grilled Alaskan sockeye salmon and ahi tuna. — 5 months ago
Served with a great osso buco recipe and the contrast was great with the meat and sauce. I will buy again. — 5 months ago
Top of this line, though big at 14.1%. Still, well balanced and so amazingly characteristic — 7 months ago

I think if you read this nonsense I post, you know how I feel about this producer, past & present. This 07 is outstanding & top of its bell curve. It is so good to revisit these great vintages of Caymus Classic.
This is fresher than the 97. It is rich/lush, cassis to currents, ripe, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, raspberries & strawberries. Dark chocolate, mocha, classic, beautiful, Caymus Classic spice that I miss dearly in their new wines, black licorice, fudge, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg & vanillin, most top soil, limestone, dry herbs, dry tobacco, barrel shavings, taut leather, volcanic grey clay, dark, fresh & slightly withering flowers, violets, beautiful round acidity, balance, structure, nice tension and elegant finish that last minutes and falls on spice and evoluted earth tones.
This bottle is in fine shape. Still strong and will last another 10 years of fine drinking. Phenomenal vintage and time to enjoy. — a year ago
