Pizza party — 2 years ago
Raspberry preserves, cherry, vanilla, cassis, blackberry and oak. Full-bodied and soft tannins. — 3 years ago
This was a big hit at a dinner party. Complex, well balanced, and still a lot of fruit for an 8 year old wine. — 3 months ago
clear, nearly opaque, dark garnet to brilliant ruby at edges. cooked raspberries, cherries. meaty- like cured meats. lifted mint notes. Rich, concentrated but lively feel at same time. it’s that WA acid! gently firm tannins. fantastic. note to self: grab a few to age. — 10 months ago
Deep red color, almost purple. Very intense initial nose. Very heavy nail polish smell. Very focused scent, with a distant red fruit smell. Very earthy taste, with hints of cherries. Light sugar. (Interesting to note, I can a very quick seafood aftertaste, which was bizarre). — 9 months ago
That's my jam. Smells kinda funky (nail polish) but tastes incredible. Preserved lemon peel, high acid, long finish. — 2 years ago
Trying the ‘14 vintage at 6 years old - nicely integrated, still drinking fresh and young. Balanced fruit and acidity. Very good. — 2 years ago

Really interesting how this Barbera from the foothills holds up nicely after 8 years. I don’t know if the 16 vintage was so good, or the wine just aged exceptionally well, but this is much better than previous vintages. Very mellow tannins, smooth velvety. A pleasant surprise. — 2 months ago
