Sonoma Reserve Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Fairly typical Sonoma County #cabernetsauvignon impressions on the nose, brambly fruit, touch of earth. Notably more dusty fruit on the palate, decent acidity considering how hot that year was. Less of a jam bomb so this #alexandervalley Cab was pretty enjoyable to me. — 25 days ago

Veraison Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Super tannic and long finish. Dark color, so much oak it has to be decanted — 2 months ago

Brothers Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, cigar box, lavender and cedar scents. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with cacao, floral and oaky notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, floral, oak and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! Good now but wait about 6 years!! Tasting Sample from restaurant friends!! — 3 months ago

Absolutely slaps. Just sublime. Good depth, smooth, medium tannins. Blackberry, cherry, slight oak. Need more. — a month ago

Three Sticks

One Sky Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay 2021

A little green in flavor (as in unripe), too acidic, but had some elements of tropical fruit, just not full and ripe. Has potential but not the best. — 3 months ago

@Doug Powers I purchased a case of that for $32 a bottle direct from Australia. The first 5-6 years they drank exactly as you described. I thought time would help them calm down so I stashed them away and they all went downhill. Happy your bottles turned out well.

The Doctor Napa Valley Red Blend 2004

2004 vintage. Decanted with very little sed and tasted after 45 mins and 1.5 hours. Initial richness in the frontal palate but the mid-palate decided to nap. Finish glided along without speed bumps. Really nice but not great. 7.19.24. — 4 months ago
