Brought over the house by JP and his brother. Tempranillo from three different regions Lodi, Clarksburg, and Amador. Loved the wine and it reminded me of classic Lodi region wines. Not surprising because all 3 areas are one of my favorite. Would definitely like to try again — 10 years ago
I like this a lot. A bit darker and more sour fruit than yabby lake single vineyard 2014. Definitely longer flavour
Explotion in your mouth. A fantastic outsider from Otago an awesome land. — 11 years ago
Price is a bonus to the already good quality. Not a classic, but a recommendable outsider. — 11 years ago

This wine plays the outlaw image to the hilt. Lodi Cab faces off in a dusty street against Napa Cab, the fastest gun in town. They both shoot straight, but in different directions. Three Finger Jack has a nose of rustic black fruit, tar, forest floor, with only a hint of graphite. The palate leans in a more elegant direction, but still stands its ground as an “outsider.” It's a delightful drink, with plenty of pairing power and the tannic structure to prove it. — 7 years ago

Crazy secret right here. I'd drink this all day. — 10 years ago
Feeling strongly that I do not get the whole 'slacker' branding bit, and that thought's coming from a man that used to live in the back of his 1968 Ford F-150. But I did learn to love Linne Calodo from a snooty friend, and so here I am. I'll say that this is my favorite of the 2012 bunch (Nemesis, Outsider, et al. included). Rich. Spice and sting. There is fruit here, but no bubblicious berry blasts; there's brightness along side a deep and dry astringent bit, and that juxtaposition may well drive you into dark fits of second-guessing and overthinking at a price-point well below your therapist's hourly rate. — 11 years ago

Thanks to @Delectable Wine for a quick turnaround on ID-ing this relatively obscure cuvée. Caprai does amazing things that go way beyond his flagship Sagrantinos. Here is a 100% Umbrian Pinot Noir, made only in certain vintages. The varietal expression here is unique (a good wine to stump blind tasters) - richer and more powerful than you’d expect, with bluer fruits and higher tannins too...almost like a Bdx. — 9 years ago
Likey. Hippie outsider landing in the Bay Area. Fruity, great skin contact, smooth and a foreign name. Any time, let's do it again! — 11 years ago

Terralsole (Land Towards the Sun), a very small, family-owned organic winery located in the Southern Tuscany. They truly produce award-winning Brunello di Montalcino, and exceptional Super-Tuscans IGT.
This Pasticcio label falls into their cult wines they produce, it was created to honor the Bordeaux tradition, where the winemaker Mario Bollag made his wine Oenology studies.
This super-Tuscan is a blend of indigenous grape Sangiovese with an outsider varietal of Cab Franc and Merlot, the result; very red fruit driven perfumy-styled that wake up anyone’s olfactory sense, it has some delicacy. On the palate, the medley of berry flavors are harmoniously concentrated, ripe and remarkably fresh for a V.2006, the wine literally dances on your mouth gracefully and elegance.
Mouthfeel overall is dominated by richness, and lush with a juicy finish but not over lingering, just right!
Check other Super-Tuscan and Brunello from Terralsole, your palate will thank you! — a year ago
