Succulent berry and chocolately overtones. — 8 months ago
What a treat to enjoy this pristine bottle of Marcassin Pinot, perfectly stored since release, the wine had plenty of dark red fruit, a touch of floral perfume on the nose and then dead sexy on the palate, rich and balanced with a long silky finish. Thanks AT, it was even better enjoyed with you! — 4 years ago

The 2016 Long Shadows 'Saggi' is a thrilling blend of Sangiovese (Boushey and Candy Mountain Vineyards) with 29% Cabernet Sauvignon (Weinbau Vineyard) and the remainder Syrah (Den Hoed Dutchman and Bacchus Vineyards). The nose is drop-dead gorgeous with bacon fat, black olive tapenade, mocha and fennel. The stunning range of aromas bring you back to the glass for more. Revealing a silky texture and a wonderfully ripe mouthfeel, this slowly unveils smoked meat, black tea, milk chocolate covered cherry and roasted fig flavors. Decadent, layered and downright delicious, this beautiful wine will enjoy an exceedingly long life in the cellar. Drink 20-9-2033- 95 — 8 years ago

Very smooth — 3 years ago
One of the few times I gave a wine time to open up and decanted it. Very smooth and even my husband enjoyed a few sips (not a wine drinker). I have a few bottles of 2019 and am wondering how they will compare — 6 years ago
I am officially on staycation for the next week. I plan on trying lots of new wines, eating good food, reading, napping and hanging by the pool. My brother just retired from the State Department and is pretty much homeless at this time so it will be nice to catch up since he’s been at the Embassy in Bahrain for the last few years. Cheers! 🍷😘🌴🌞⛱ — 7 years ago

Excellent. Red berries, brut, delicious. Drink this for the joy, not the complexity. — 7 years ago

Even better than the last one. — 5 months ago
Wow what a nose. Huge spice and violets and a feral quality. Glorious and expressive. Stunning. 9.6 nose. Smells ready to go which is in line with 2017 Walter. Also some dead leaves and tree bark. Palate is ripe, supple and juicy with great energy and freshness. Delicate yet intensely flavorful. So succulent. Red cherries galore and some cassis as well. Drink now with aplomb — 3 years ago

Fint och svalt vin. Smakar svart vinbär. Dricks en varm dag på balkongen med litet snacks. — 6 years ago
Pop and pour, wine shows fantastic out of the gate. Insanely dark, inky in the glass. Wonderful nose with loads of vanilla oak and a hint of pepper with a slight alcohol burn. First taste far exceeds expectation. Velvety tannin l, the vanilla note shines in this wine (which works wonderfully) for the price this wine is amazing. A Calistoga wine for the price and quality is almost unheard of in this day and age. Defiantly seek it out. — 7 years ago

vintage 2019 | Still too young, quite a blockbuster but also very lush, smoked meat in smell, brushwood, good balance, Dead Arm seldom dissapoints — 12 days ago
