So nice. Alcohol a bit high right now. This one needs a little more time to settle in. Pedigree is there and Burgundian undertones there alongside some clear new world notes.

Following an ‘04 Ponsot this stood out as a sore thumb.

I had double-decanted this for 8 hours and it still wasn’t enough.
Insanely concentrated and almost Rhone-like.

I’ll try to stash away a few bottles for the long haul (read: 20+ years) but honestly don’t think I’ll ever live to see this at peak.

07' Marcassin. I'm reading some of these reviews? This wine was just released 4 years ago. I know Helen waits to release her wines. You have to decant this wine! Would you decant a young great Burgundy wine? The rough edges dissipate immensely...becomes this giant luscious fruit bomb. Just my opinion.

Dripping with deep red cherry, ripened plum, intensely floral notes upon decanting. 30 + finish.

Soft and Supple with gorgeous Berry fruit. Very approachable, nice body and texture. Great experience here with our normal Monday Group on a rare Sunday night. CB
