Unfiltered, stone fruit with tight acidity that opens right up when it hits your tongue. Love it. — 7 months ago
Cherries, juicy but not overpoweringly acidic, wood, velvety mouthfeel, vanilla, light tannins. Delightful! — 2 years ago
Well, glad I kept this for another 6 years to see how it evolved. Cork was in amazing shape. Brick red. Almost tawny in glass. Dried flowers and herbs on the nose. Not a lot of fruit on the nose. Palate is more dried flowers, roses, leather, the faintest touch of pouch tobacco, plums, dried fig, maybe persimmon. It dries the mouth with tannin and acidity. Definitely secondary flavors starting. Probably the best wine deal I’ve ever had for this type of quality. Wish I had one more to try in 2028. — 20 hours ago
Blend of equal amounts of local red grapes; Caino, Espadeiro and Loueiro, Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, herb, floral and cigar box notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with tobacco, oak and garden herbs. Medium+ finish, chalky tannins, savory, ending with herbs, spice, cedar and slight fruit, savory. Nice, will continue to age. — 4 months ago
Luna Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot 1997: Medium-bodied. Smooth tannins. Well integrated acidity. Dark cherry. Raspberry. Prune. Plum. Menthol. Earth. Gentle oak. Soft lingering finish. Overall, a fantastic 25 year old wine. Beautifully developed over time and still displayed great fruit flavors & aromas. Aged to perfection and paired perfectly with the baseball cut Filet Mignon. Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed with brunch. The 2014 is finally open for business and only just. The wine pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black fruit: black berries, black plum, leather, licorice, some cocoa, earth and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Boy, those tannins are still rippin’! Drink now through 2038. Only 50 cases made. — 14 days ago
