Blueberry and blackberry on the nose. Earthy. Nice balance of tannins. A bit of spice. Solid red. — a month ago
Another excellent value from Mart Taylor..at this point, i would MadDog20/20 blend if her name was on it. This particular wine makes me want to drink more loire valley Chenin blanc..great aroma with stone fruit and honey taste with a medium to medium full body..every day drinker that is great by itself or with food and under 20 — 3 months ago
Liked this a lot. Would buy again. Not too complex but great bargain French wine — a month ago

Taylor Fladgate Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Porto 1995, Portugal
#AgedWineTuesday
Ruby in color and cloudy, with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Sweet nose with cedar, vanilla, honey and chocolates.
Sweet on the palate with black fruits, tobacco, cereal, vanilla, licorice, light wood, chocolates, coffee, light cola and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 29 year old is still drinking beautifully. Nicely balanced and elegant. Rich and fruit forward.
I don't see it getting any better from this point on. Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Delicious right out of the bottle, and a gorgeous dessert wine.
93 points.

1961 vintage. Great nuttiness and caramel notes. Lacking the back end oomph of vintage port. Still, pretty quaffable. — 5 days ago
