Lodi Red Table Wine 2019

Black currant and raspberry aromas, flavors with depth. Info on internet suggest it’s a blend of equal parts Cinsault, Carignane and Zinfandel with flavors of black tea and leather (which I would support) as well as licorice (a hint, later more substantial) violet and black cherry (disagree, at least on initial pour). Spice leather aftertaste. Solid acid with smooth tannin backbone, some skin astringency in aftertaste. — 3 months ago

GT Vin de Table Garrut

100% Monastrell (aka Garrut in Catalonia). Very funky at first. Lots of red fruit, some herbal notes. Savory, juicy and spicy. Easy to drink, very enjoyable — 9 months ago

Pelos-Sandberg Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Ruby in color with light intensity and a wide reddish/ cloudy rim.

Light nose of strawberries, raspberries, sweet cherries, light oak and spices.

Medium in body and soft with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with bing cherries, raspberries, strawberries, light wood, herbs, light vegetables, spices and coffee.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and raspberries.

This young Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.

This Single Vineyard is easy drinking, nicely balanced and elegant.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.

Not overly complex at this point, but would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.

Good by itself or with food. I gave it a light chill and had it with hard cheeses.

A small production of only 269 cases. Unfined and unfiltered.

12.9% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Les Rouliers Vin de Table du Vaucluse Red Rhone Blend 2016

Great perfume. Strong burn, bit “alcoholic” in the middle yet with a great finale that really shows hints of the other more renowned cuvées. Less animality than expected. — 9 months ago
