Stefano Del Bo

Vignaioli di S. Stefano (Ceretto)

Moscato d'Asti 2023

This wine has a pale yellow color. The most noticeable thing about it is the incredibly fragrant nose, full of apricots, peaches and pears. The palate offers those sweet fruits as well, with the addition of a bit of earthiness wrapped around them. The acidity is brisk and the finish is sweet. Pair it with cheese, or just sip it, because it is a very nice sip. — 18 days ago

Hint if tobacco, dark cherry, plum. A low level thrum of intensity. Interesting with lots of chatter. All very in place. — 2 years ago

Primavera Pinot Noir

Strawberry and a sour savoury note on the nose. High pitched red fruit with a slightly medicinal character. Good weight and concentration on the mid palate. Some wood spice. Solid without being showy. — 5 months ago

Filagnotti Vino Bianco White Blend 2016

This is a teenager Cortese that decided to become a punk. But its parents accept the whims of the youth. So the rebelling spirit stays tamed. The bouquet is full of spoiled white plums, soaked white flowers, raw dough, kōcha kinoko, smoke, and pickles. To my taste, it lacks acidity (so not sure what destiny awaits this little rebel). Overall it is complex, multilayered, and even has some delicacy. And all these umami flavours (hello, mr Shiitake)! And the aftertaste of ripe, even baked fruits and pickles. A good find, for sure. — 2 years ago

A real wow nose. Tar, roses, dark fruit. Beautifully concentrated and intense. Some iodine and salinity but a deep and gorgeous long palate. Amazing stuff. — 3 years ago
