Cune Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Early picking for the ‘17 vintage, and it shows with fresh acidity lifting the well extracted black fruits. Still quite primary at year 7.
Very good value for a Gran Reserva.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend 2012

Turns out super well made Amarone is ideal match for Texas smoked brisket and ribs. Dense, layered and oh, so smooth. No clue where it’s hiding 17% alcohol. In a sweet spot with 30 minute decant. 🙏 @Michael Aronovici — 9 months ago

Yarra Valley Shiraz Viognier Blend 2020

Lovely dark purple color, the Shiraz is black pepper and spice, with a quite tannic profile, the Viognier provides some lovely floral notes and acidity, longish finish, should easily improve for 2-4 more years. — 6 months ago

Napa Valley Merlot 2016

Blend of 83% Merlot; 12% Cab Sauv, and 5% Petit Verdot, aged 17 months in French oak (30% new), very deep Ruby with rich aromas of dark ripe fruit and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum with soft sweet vanilla spice, cacao and cedar. Fine tannins, long finish ending with balanced mineral wrapped in cacao and oak. A solid Merlot. — 4 years ago
