One of my favorite stops in Chile. Amazing property that Robert Mondavi had a hand in siting & starting. The view from the top of their mountain side beautifully overlooks their vineyard and the Andes Mountains.

Turns out super well made Amarone is ideal match for Texas smoked brisket and ribs. Dense, layered and oh, so smooth. No clue where it’s hiding 17% alcohol. In a sweet spot with 30 minute decant. 🙏 @Michael Aronovici — 6 months ago
Super tasty.. meaty, oaky, some toffee. — a year ago
Blend of 83% Merlot; 12% Cab Sauv, and 5% Petit Verdot, aged 17 months in French oak (30% new), very deep Ruby with rich aromas of dark ripe fruit and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum with soft sweet vanilla spice, cacao and cedar. Fine tannins, long finish ending with balanced mineral wrapped in cacao and oak. A solid Merlot. — 4 years ago

Cherry pie on the nose. Hints of cherry, berries and plums on the fore palate. Smooth, moderate finish of leather. Not as spicy as expected for a Shiraz. (Sirloin tip steak, lobster tails, baked potato, saluted kale w baby Bella mushrooms - last meal with Kendra - Tim) — 20 days ago
