Superb nose with tar, meat juice, black currant, an irony thing. This is inviting and strong, very inviting. The palate is wonderful! Super acid backbone with a bright black currant all along, a velvety touch on the sides that remains all along, tannins have already started to integrate. There is width, there is length, there is fruit, there is grip. The finish lasts for a long time with a nice fruit, some meat juice too and a pinch of bitterness. V

Nice California pinot with a lot of berries and a bit of terroir. A bit tanic but not too bad with decanting on first open. — 8 days ago
Cooked jammy fruit, slight pepper, light cocoa/earth finish, light/moderate tannins, slight anise, — 9 days ago
1 hour decant was perfect. Dark purple color. Nose of firewood burning on a cold night. Wine is dark cherry with some medicinal elements. Great depth! Medium finish. High quality producer in my mind as this is the first time I’ve had it. I really enjoyed it. Paired well with seasoned, marinated beef skewers and lamb steak. — a day ago
Nose: apple cider, floral, taste: apple, some butter, balanced stronger acidity, vanilla, — 9 days ago
Phew....a real powerhouse here! Full of tannins, dry, and strong (almost overpowering) notes of cedar, tobacco, vanilla, pencil shavings/lead, black plum, and black currant. Definitely needs much more time until maturity, but will age exceptionally well. I'm not touching the 2016 Cos d'Estournel for quite some time.... — 9 days ago
