Château La Grâce Dieu

Les Menuts St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Superb nose with tar, meat juice, black currant, an irony thing. This is inviting and strong, very inviting. The palate is wonderful! Super acid backbone with a bright black currant all along, a velvety touch on the sides that remains all along, tannins have already started to integrate. There is width, there is length, there is fruit, there is grip. The finish lasts for a long time with a nice fruit, some meat juice too and a pinch of bitterness. V
In a great place right now!

Sonoma County Pinot Noir 2018

Nice California pinot with a lot of berries and a bit of terroir. A bit tanic but not too bad with decanting on first open. — 8 days ago

Château La Gaffelière

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2003

1 hour decant was perfect. Dark purple color. Nose of firewood burning on a cold night. Wine is dark cherry with some medicinal elements. Great depth! Medium finish. High quality producer in my mind as this is the first time I’ve had it. I really enjoyed it. Paired well with seasoned, marinated beef skewers and lamb steak. — a day ago

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Spectacular. So much fruit. This came from a passive cellar, the fill was top label, yes I said it top label, and when I touched the cork it fell in! So expectations were low. Wow were we wrong. — 6 days ago

Château Calon-Ségur

Le Marquis Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Phew....a real powerhouse here! Full of tannins, dry, and strong (almost overpowering) notes of cedar, tobacco, vanilla, pencil shavings/lead, black plum, and black currant. Definitely needs much more time until maturity, but will age exceptionally well. I'm not touching the 2016 Cos d'Estournel for quite some time.... — 9 days ago

Château Beychevelle

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Surprisingly open for business. Intense dark fruit with the tannins not getting in the way. This is one Bordeaux you can enjoy right now! Dark fruit, cassis, and some graphite notes. — 21 hours ago
