Spur of moment dinner @ anacapri ā 2 years ago
Nice. Lots of layered ripe dark fruit, just a touch of vanilla. Spur cherry on the palate finish. The fun part is the tannins though, enough grip a texture to underline the slightly rustic character. ā 4 years ago
Worth a decant, or a night in the fridge after opening, in my case ā 6 months ago
Graet personality.
Earthy, mushrooms and truffle woth autumnal feel going from pomegranate to forest floor.
Strong iron component
And the fruit is there somewhere too and it is a spur cherry.
It screams DRIIIINKKK MEEEEE!!!
..with moderation please...
Quite persistent too ā a year ago
The nose is brilliant - ripe red cherries, raspberries, herbs and spices that remind one of baking. The palate is bold and rich with those red fruits and tempered perfectly by the oak treatment. Acidity is fresh and the tannins are serviceable enough for a roast tenderloin without getting too much in the way of the sip. ā 3 years ago

2016. Experimental spur of the moment pick up from a Salcha gas station wine rack. Bright lights and loaded with dust, Iām sure it was there for several years before I liberated it. My coworker smoked a rib roast and the straightforward cherry flavors in the wine paired great. Wine was surprisingly sound. ā 10 months ago
The elegant side of #grenache - High-toned strawberry + red floral elements on the nose, elegant creamy texture on palate, soft tannins, balanced acidity. Lovely wine from I. Brand & Family Winery. #centralcoastwine ā 3 years ago
Tree Kilpatrick
Still very dark for a 15 year old red. Smells like berry-plum sauce and leather. Bit of wet gravel and flint. Flavors are lovely and elevated. Black currants. A hint of cola nut. Licorice drops. This is quite an elegant and lovely red. Could age longer. Beefy but with a velvet glove. ā 2 months ago
