This was sailing… meaty nose of rich burnt ends coupled with plum jam. Palate was viscous and mineral driven. S little too much acidity with a slightly citrus finish. Nice juxtaposition with the Siro, but this was always destined for second place tonight. — a year ago

Kid leather aromas with red savoury cherry also on the nose transferring to the medium weight palate. Very persistent attractive perfume. Quite delicious albeit with assertive tannins. This wine will continue in the cellar for at least another 5 years if desired. — 5 days ago
