This nose cones on slowly, smokily..
Dark fruits here - lots of seeded - pip action. Roasted violets, crushed pomegranate, complete with rind and pith. High acid fruits slap those first fruit thoughts right out of the glass. Bing cherry and jolly rancher fruits soar with the acidity in how this ends.
Last wine smuggled back from Chile.

Purchased this bottle in Havana last year. The locals recommended it as the ultimate sipping rum. This is a super smooth rum — 4 months ago
Iodé minérale puis floral. Belle longueur. — 4 months ago
A wine we brought back from a wine bistro called Boconariz in Santiago a couple of years ago, this is absolutely terrific. Beautiful, intense red-purple color, the tannins are sweet and rich with a great hint of camphor on the nose. Well-integrated tannins with a rich mouthfeel, that camphor component is a bit more amplified on the palate, but not overwhelming by any means. Lingering, balanced finish. Hard to gauge how much longer this will continue to develop, but my guess is that’s it’s peaking right now. Terrific example of a carmenere! — 4 months ago
