Mer Soleil

Reserve Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay 2022

Taking its name from the sea and sun – the two forces of nature that shape its character. Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Sip’s well now. Pair this with some fresh tuna! — 5 days ago

Colson Canyon Vineyard Syrah 2005

Big, rich and ripe blue and black fruit aromas and flavors, great balance, usually Joey’s richest Syrah in every vintage, long, lingering finish, should easily last 5-10 additional years, yummy! — 23 days ago

Crazy thing I just realized when taking the bottle to my recycle bin is this was 15.6% ABV — there was no real heat, just immense ripe, rich heat?!?! Amazing!!

Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2006

Took a bit of time for the funk to blow off but once it did it was drinking nicely. Not much life left though, but amazing a California Pinot could last this long. — a month ago

Williams Selyem

Vista Verde Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Ruby color, purple edges, with pronounced aromas of red fruits, floral, herbs and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, ripe plum and black cherry with orange citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral, spice and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age!
