Rosso Di Toscana

Masseto

Toscana Merlot 2003

Double decant for sediment(lots of chunky/fine sediment)and pour. A splendid medium dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: Intoxicating perfumed notes of stewed cherry, fig, herbaceous, roasted meat, funky earth, toasted marshmallow. Taste: opulent mature savory wine with ripe plum, licorice, saline, and a graphite dried herb long finish. YUM! Not bad for a harsh hot/dry vintage. — 6 days ago

Tenuta San Guido

Guidalberto Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2022

Impressive nose but lacking a bit of body at the moment. Too young and will no doubt improve in the coming 5 years. — 14 days ago

Poggio al Casone

Casone Toscana Sangiovese Blend 2017

Fairly well balanced, light for a Tuscan but sufficiently flavorful. Better on the 2nd and 3rd nights if well capped. Simple evening dinner-wine with a comfortable 13% alc. Definitely a good value from TJ. — 16 days ago

Percarlo Toscana Sangiovese 2006

Fresh forest fruits, and macerated berries as well, sweet spices, soft oak, beautiful tannines, gentle acidity. A bigger, fuller styled Percarlo, wonderful! — a month ago
