The wine producer Poggio dei Gorleri, from the small hamlet Gorleri, is located high above the Ligurian coast near Imperia, called the Ligure di Ponente, Italy. The producers’ focus is predominantly on the Pigato grape, delivering minerally, white fruit, very fresh white wines. This Shalok stands out from the white wines produced. Made of 100% Granaccia/Grenache/Alicante, this wine is bursting with red fruits. Quite dark with flavours of berry/blackberry fruit, some chocolate, some wood, with very smooth tannines. Only 1,122 bottles produced. — 4 years ago
Awesome. Interesting. Full@bodied — 5 months ago
A nice pigato from Liguria. Floral on the nose, medium bodied, medium acid on the finish. But more interesting than that suggests somehow - just a nice wine. — 5 years ago
