Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Medium body. Nice depth, focus and concentration during the performance. Hated for the curtain to fall. May need an encore-and soon. More affordable than you suspect. 3.27.24. — 22 days ago

Ridgecrest Vineyards Pinot Noir

Beautiful 20 year old Oregon Pinot. Opened, re-corked, then enjoyed an hour later over the next 6 hours. Slightly clunky at first but expressed good integration after the first hour. Evolved gradually and subtly. Dried strawberries gave way to raspberry preserves and then sour cherry. Medicinal and sage notes gave way to lavender and rose then cigar/cigar box then smoky bacon and finally black tea. No real awkward phases. Likely drinking at or near peak now. — 12 days ago

Abbey Ridge Pinot Noir 2019

Giving this another big score. 3 hr decant and this is bringing a nose of darker fruits. Wine is brooding and big without any forest floor going on. Acidity and tannin round out great weight and tautness. Drank alongside chicken parm. Delish — 4 months ago

Earthy, meaty, leathery, darkly fruited. Class, breed, finesse. Classic old school Ribbon Ridge Pinot. This wine needed these 15 years to express all that. I expect at least another five years of aging potential. — 6 months ago

Kings Ridge

Willamette Valley Grown Pinot Noir 2022

Color of light ruby with cranberry tone. Nose of milky vanilla, cranberry and raspberry, and sweet ripe currants. Taste follows the nose but leans on the sweet milky vanilla side, some more zest and cranberry note, and a bit tinkering bittersweet. Aftertaste shows some warmth. Clean and easy to drink. On par. — 6 months ago
