Beaux Frères

The Upper Terraces Grenache 2006

The label was a heck of a lot more worn than the wine! This was tasted alongside a 2013 BF Pinot and to me was hands-down the winner between the two. I almost think there was a slight bit of VA with the pinot. This one was delicious and had some wildflower on the nose and palate. Grape stem notes and a purple fruit type of thing here with a little bit of chocolate in the middle. Finished with rounded edges. I think the best years of this wine are behind it, but it was definitely not gone. — 18 days ago

Love these wines, but I'm not an Upper Terrace collector, those are more than I'm generally willing to part with, so we just buy the regular BF estate bottles.

@Hugh O'Riordan it was a learning experience for me too. Based on the label I thought it was a shipwreck bottle!!

Renegade Ridge Estate Pinot Noir 2016

On the nose touches of violet and lavender. Juicy blue fruit notes of Mulberry, blueberry and black raspberry lead into secondary flavors of tea leaf, fresh forest floor, and mineral. — 7 months ago

Ridgecrest Vineyards Pinot Noir

It took awhile to open up.. after about an hour it got a little funk on the nose. Smelled like a damp barn.. the palate seems like it’s one verge of moving from fruit to a mineral earthy flavors. — 25 days ago

Kings Ridge

Willamette Valley Grown Pinot Gris 2016

White peach pit on the nose round and fuzzy mouth feel. Plum. Skin. A hint of grapefruit peel delightful with hearth baked pizza- meatballs, sausage, grilled eggplant is the earthy counterpoint to this summery sonnet. A toast to flowers and a sun warmed meadow. This is a clarinet or possibly a harpsichord but not a fiddle or a flute. — 18 days ago

Ridgecrest Vineyards Wind Ridge Block Riesling 2014

Pale golden, excellent clarity. Diesel, chrysanthemum and wood notes in nose. Lemon and creamy flavors, slightly oily mouthfeel initially. Lemon lime tartness (zingy? Yes!) with leesy and mineral finish. Nice wine; these flavors pop. Some skin astringency and varietal bitterness in aftertaste. Fairly dry, plenty of acidity for food. A bold Riesling, much to like here. — a month ago
