Cherry Camp Syrah 2009

Drank this a little too cold. Not sure where the vineyard is but really came across as a cool climate syrah. Well integrated and silky. — 7 months ago

Lieux Dits Les Carelles Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Chardonnay

(Disgorged 1/19)- Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s stunning tonight, rich, powerful and intense with crazy depth to its layers, unfurling in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complex core of rich orchard fruit, roasted nuts, gun smoke, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration and balance. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that just keeps going. For me, the BdB benchmark. — 6 months ago

Lemorel Sonoma Coast Zinfandel 2019

Well done Zin. Like all of Radio-Coteau, this wine is very expressive. Big red and blue fruits, energetic on the palate. Silky mid palate of cassis and bright red berries. Longer finish with just the right balance of acidity and tannins. — 8 months ago

Domaine Leflaive

Les Pucelles Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2013

While 05-16 may not be my favorite era of Leflaive (08 & 14 excluded), tonight 2013 is excellent, exceeding expectations and still markedly youthful. It’s rich, mineral and incisive with fantastic depth and layers, wafting waves of yellow orchard fruit, lilies, toasted sesame and lemon zest. The palate is deep and full bodied with piercing citrusy acids and a long mineral and saline finish. When Leflaive hits it hits 🤩 — 9 months ago
