Cuvée Frédéric Emile Alsace Riesling

Coriander and lemon pith nose. Rich silky palate with honey and diesel aspect, marshmallow, pleasantly dry and tart.

I was surprised how youthful this is. A wonderful compote nose. In the mouth waves of honey, lemon , apples , and spice.. Full body but not fat. A very extended finish.

Broad and snappy at the same time.

Almost a faint buttered popcorn taste with a faint citrus finish.

Super young. Still developing fruit, bitter almond and beeswax. Dumb but has potential. Needs many more years.

This was a flawless bottle of pure joy

Apples, pears, minerals. Crisp, not bracing. Like to see in another 5-10 years.

The “second wine” from one of Alsace’s greatest winemaking dynasties. Unlike the single-vineyard Clos Ste. Hune, this is a blend from two (adjacent) sites in the Geisberg (sandstone) and Osterberg (limestone) grand crus in Ribeauvillé. Complex bouquet with aromas of yellow apple, candied citrus, beeswax, crushed stone and a hint of petrol. Full-bodied, rich, quite concentrated with flavors of citrus (lemon) and notes of white fruit. Pure, precise, intense, great acidity
