Board Track Racer The Shift Grenache Syrah 2021

Consumed 30-Mar-2025. Dark purple red. Nose is abundant and yields blackberry and blueberry compote. Juicy medium full palate echoes the nose with ashy blackberry taking the lead. Juicy acidity. Medium minus tannins. Lingering, dark finish. An Old World feel makes this Washington GSM blend a great choice for hearty meals year round from the grill to the hearth. Rich meat and vegetable stews will shine. Drink now through 2031. — a month ago

Mountain Cuvée Proprietor's Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2020

Dark ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, licorice, and plum. Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. While strong, balanced, and elegant, it opens up with a soft, round palate. Exemplary Napa red. 68 Cab Sauv, 28 Merlot, 2 Cab Franc, 2 Petit Verdot. — a year ago

Pellet Estate

Sunchase Vineyard Chardonnay 2016

Very pretty color of deep gold.

Beautiful nose with yellow apples, over ripe citrus fruits, caramel, honeysuckle and spices.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and nice complexity.

Dry on the palate with cedar, apples, citrus, pears, lemons, spices, herbs, vanilla, light earth and black pepper.

Long finish with limes and almonds.

This is a delicious Chardonnay from Sonoma County. Nicely balanced with a soft mouth feel. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and complex.

Needs an hour to open up properly.

Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

This Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a great sipping wine.

100% Chardonnay grapes were barrel fermented in French Oak barrels and aged for 16 months.

14.6% alcohol by volume.

Château Bellefont-Belcier

Grand Cru Classe St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

It's time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Strong nose of black plums, black currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, earth and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, oak, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and black pepper.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a young Merlot from Bordeaux. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

A good food wine that I paired with pizza.

A blend of 68% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon.

15% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Board Track Racer The Vincent Red Blend 2021

A Bordeaux style blend from Washington State. Dark red fruit aromas, hint of sweetness. Quite a lot of tannins. Can use more time in the bottle to soften a little bit more. Quite nice.

Château Léoville Poyferré

Saint Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

Blend of 68% Cab Sauv, 27% Merlot, 3% Cab Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currant and blueberry fruit with cigar box and cinnamon spice. Lively acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice, enjoy now and over next decade. — 3 years ago
