25 years in and still hanging on. Some oxidation. Still lovely. — 7 months ago
Drank with onion and pepper brats and peach, tomato, and corn salad at Grand Lake cousin’s camp (2021). Light mouthfeel, hint of pepper and spice, but the spice might be the peppers. Raspberry, strawberry, and mild blueberries. Lighter than my style but good with the brats and good fruit. — 5 years ago
Even better than last bottle. More integrated. So much flavor and earth and balance. Just outstanding — 3 months ago
Mature. At end of life but consistent. — 7 months ago
Surprisingly good for its age. Was blinded on this and called 2013 Northern Rhone. Couldn’t believe this held together so well. Current releases of this wine aren’t nearly this good. — 10 months ago
Color still very youthful. Nose is somewhat sultry, even with significant air. Lots of smoky gravel, juniper berry, tart dark berry, sweat, dark liquid minerals, dried irises. Focused and more berry-centric in the mouth, concentrated, with a long fragrant finish. A small note of alcoholic pepperiness accompanies some some remains tannin. Lots of unique character. — 5 years ago
1/2026. Dark color. Good fruit and sits well on the palate. Smooth finish. — 4 months ago
Wow. This was an absolutely stunning btl of Syrah. On the nose: violets, olive brine, bacon, soft vanilla cream, blackberry, dried blackberry, soft leather...amazing complexity. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density, pure syrah fruit, and very soft tannin on the finish. — 5 years ago

Not Y Block, but quite nice with chicken and asparagus then trout and tomato salad. Balanced between fruit and oak with a lovely finish. — 16 hours ago
