I’m baaaack! I’m sure no one missed me but I’ve been off the app for a while. Lots of life happening. So. Decided to jump back on due to a new to me Rose’ that I discovered. Germans can make wine! This is a wonderful deck wine with all types of food or by itself to celebrate the end of a long day. Everyone has described this wine spot on. For me though I get a slight hint of cinnamon on the end and the acidity is primo with smoked meats or a nice charcuterie! Love finding new gems! Enjoy. PS. I love this super-chilled but it is good at room temp as well. Thanks for putting up with the amateur!!! — 6 months ago
This note actually covers 2 bottles of this wine. The first was sadly oxidised and I felt I should check my last one which was fine. This is the second time In recent weeks I have had 2 Euro whites left of 2 different Cuvées. In both cases the 2nd last was over the hill and the last was good. Old gold in colour for this 100% Verdejo. Notes of honey grilled nuts and a touch of pineapple. No other word for the palate than Unctuous. A creamy textural palate with low acid - mouth filling. Some vines in this 23 acre vineyard are up to 180 years old. I should have referred to my first note in 2018 and drunk these 2 bottles a lot sooner. My score here is for the 2nd bottle. One of the 1001 wines. PS. A Footnote - Verdejo is not the same grape as Portuguese grape, Verdelho. I used to incorrectly think they were the same. — 5 years ago
Someone says it's a unicorn and i reckon they are spot on
Nearly impossible to source in Australia
Arguably one of the best rosé in the world, the best in Italy
Surely hard to put it in a category i think the unicorn category suits it best
It's like a red that drinks like a white
Cola, mushrooms, oregano, sundried tomatoes and so much more that i can't even recall
No need to say you wanna accumulate as much as u can and i assure you if stored well this will last for longer then a decade
Ps. I nearly forgot about the Australian Open final when drinking this..nearly i said😅 — a year ago
67% ZN & 33% PS. This is an amazing blend for a non-ZN fan. Really like this blend and wine. — 4 years ago
Good time to drink! It has fruit, structure, tannins, earth and is well balanced. We opened 3 hours before drinking and then decanted for 90 minutes. Then it opened up nicely in the glass. Delish!

Took a minute to warm up, but once it did the nose burst open with notes of leychee, jasmine and sweet floral notes. The flavor was off-dry, with a creamy floral sweetness that cascaded over the palate, with a slightly mineral/slightly spicy mid-palate, and ends with a dry minerality and taste of wet river stones on the finish. First Boxler but definitely won’t be the last. PS: as it continued to warm, I became aware of how fresh tasting the wine was. I’m still waiting on the food to finish, but I’m excited to see how it will emerge. — 3 years ago

Elegant and lithe Brunello that still packs a flavour punch. Dark berries and leather...very diverse and pairable. There wont be many who dont like this wine🥳
Paired with black cod in miso butter, fondant potatoes and oven roasted tomatoes. — 2 months ago
