Fresher and more fond mouth than expected for an Australian Shiraz. The primary notes are those of Australia, but winemaking and ageing tend more towards the Rhône-Nord style with welcome nuances, whether it is the mineral structure, just like the rounding of tannins. Needs to be aired for an hour, and slightly refreshed.

Bouche plus fraîche et friande qu’attendu pour un shiraz australien. Les notes primaires sont bien celles de l’Australie mais la vinification et l’élevage tendent plus vers le style Rhône-Nord avec des nuances bienvenues, que ça soit la structure minérale, tout comme l’arrondi des tanins. Black fruit dress, deep. Open nose of plum, Blackberries, and melted breeding of oak barrel. In the mouth, it is supple and deep, smoked, with evolved notes of undergrowth, mushrooms. A classical style wine, structured and melted. Very nice realization. Even if already in place, it can age and gain in relief.

Robe fruits noirs, profonde. Nez ouvert de prune, mûre, et élevage fondu, fût de chêne. En bouche, c’est souple et profond, fumé, avec des notes évoluées, sous-bois, champignons. An estate that I really like but this vintage had not yet completely convinced me. It was simply the time it took for everything to take place. Beautiful Gamay, dry and concentrated, with a breeding that brings a refined classicism. The mouth is delicate and deep, airy with a more dry and mineral character than the gamay of Beaujolais. A very beautiful Burgundy wine, full of elegance. 2016 finally ready to drink.

Un domaine que j’aime beaucoup mais cette cuvée ne m’avait pas encore complètement convaincu. C’était tout simplement le temps nécessaires pour que tout se mette en place. Très beau Gamay, sec et concentré, avec un élevage qui apporte un classicisme raffiné. La bouche est délicate et profonde, aérienne avec un caractère un plus sec et minéral que les gamay du Beaujolais. Ruby colour, deep, still suggesting a potential for ageing and evolution. Burgundi nose between aging and undergrowth notes. Spicy red fruit, creaminess. The matter in the mouth is almost milky. Ageing in typical of Louis Jadot style, melted, bringing tannins and a little fat, international Parker style. Not necessarily the most expressive year, but elegance.

Robe rubis, profonde, suggérant encore un beau potentiel de garde et d’évolution. Nez bourguignon entre élevage et notes sous-bois. Du fruit rouge épicé, de l’onctuosité. La matière en bouche est presque lactée. Élevage en barrique typique de Jadot, fondu, apportant des tanins et un peu de gras, style international, Parker. Ruby dress. Discreet nose, red fruits, griotte, fig, spicy, smoke, charcoal, tobacco. Half-deep bodied. Melted tannins. The bouquet is fine, but the acidity is average, it's to be drunk now. Needs at least one hour of aeration to deliver. Not the lushest Brunello I've drunk (vintage effect?) But it's elegant.

Robe rubis profonde. Nez discret, fruits rouges, griotte, figue, épicé, fumée, charbon, tabac. Bouche demi-corsée, profonde. Tanins fondus. Le bouquet est fin, mais l’acidité est moyenne, c’est à boire maintenant. A besoin d’une heure d’aération au moins, pour se livrer. Pas le Brunello le plus luxuriant que j’ai bu (effet millésime?) mais c’est élégant. — a year ago

Second tasting a year later. Dark black fruit, purple, deep, dress. Ripe nose, blueberries, smoked, pepper, typical aging of the Les Jacques style "à la bourguignonne". In the mouth it is semi-light, oscillating between the crunch of the young fruit and the finesse of a not too marked but well integrated aging, melted into the fruit tannins. Original Beaujolaise Syrah with good price/pleasure ratio.

Deuxième dégustation un an après. Robe sombre fruits noirs, violine, profonde. Nez mûres, myrtilles, fumé, poivre, élevage typique de la maison « à la bourguignonne ». En bouche c’est demi-Léger, oscillant entre croquant du fruit jeune et finesse d’un élevage en fût pas trop marqué mais bien intégré aux tanins. Very nice price/pleasure ratio for this beautiful natural grape variety wine featuring Montepulciano in the spotlight in an interpretation of the purity of fruit. Deep purple dress. Sour cherry, plum, almond, vanilla, integrated oak; of a beautiful intensity. In the mouth it is charming and intense, balance, on the generosity of the fruit, of a beautiful delicacy of which the Italians definitely have the secret. Coup de coeur! To drink a little refreshed.

Très jolie rapport prix/plaisir pour ce beau vin nature de cépage mettant le Montepulciano à l’honneur dans une interprétation sur la pureté du fruit. Robe violine profonde. Nez cerise, griotte, prune, amende, vanille, chêne intégré; d’une belle intensité. En bouche c’est charmant et intense, équilibre, sur la générosité du fruit, d’une belle gourmandise dont les italiens ont définitivement le secret. Coup de cœur! Deep garnet color, thick (not filtered, not glued) Beautiful evolved notes - red fruits, licorice, pomegranate, and many shades between undergrowth, spices etc. developing during tasting. A Loire wine that has magnificently endured 18 years in cellar and needs to take the time to open.

Robe grenat profonde, épaisse (non filtrée, non collée) Belles notes évoluées - fruits rouges, réglisse, grenade, et nombreuses nuances entres sous-bois, épices etc. se développant en cours de dégustation.
