Ried Steinriegl Federspiel Wachau Riesling 2019

Really nice, good value Riesling. Nose has fresh, stony minerals, spritely green herbs, green apple, and the barest hint of petrol. Flavorful and balanced in the mouth. Quite dry, but with nice apple fruitiness. Soft but buoyant acids. Fresh mouthfeel. — 3 months ago

Met him once. Used to be the mayor of the town. Was a tad arrogant but his wife are good.

Klaus Smaragd Riesling 2015

Gaining complexity over time with some nice savory spices along with light pit fruit, some dry slate and a moderate finish. Lacks a little tension but a nice fat and sassy wine. — 2 months ago

Showing beautifully. 2001. Loads of oxidation and quite a dark golden color. — 5 months ago

“Showing beautifully” and “loads of oxidation” seem in conflict, at least for my taste. It’s only with a few specific types of wine (e.g., Sherry, Vin Jaune) where I’d welcome loads of oxidation. But that’s why wine is wonderfully subjective!
