Ripping texture here, a powerful cut that's positively serrated. I missed the last few vintages of this but the ones before that I've had weren't nearly as sharp as this, more on the luscious side. There may be some of that in here even if it's strapped pretty tight - you can pick up a little whiff of banana - but for the most part this wine at this moment is about those sharp edges, the bright acid, and its rough, scraped texture.
