Light hay colored with little tinges of silver. On the nose you’ll get Granny Smith apples, pears, a little kiwi, and minerality. This is one of the best combinations of fun and elegance that I’ve found in a Grüner Veltliner. This 18 is so very young and it shows but it’s still mature enough to go. Very creamy on the mid palate with some round acidity. Air definitely improves things and on the second day it’s downright lush. Very dry, the round acid and texture really takes her to the next level. Honeydew, white pepper, and honey on the palate initially, with grapefruit and smoke coming to play. — 12 days ago
One of the most compelling wines I’ve had in a while. Took about 45-60 minutes to open up but once it did I found this Grüner Veltliner/Chardonnay blend to be very seductive, deep, rich, and complex. Constantly evolving yet always approachable. In terms of notes I can’t resist providing what Suburban Wines says about it:
“On the nose, this lovely white shows soft, inviting notes of white pear, muskmelon and key lime juice. Stone-like minerality marks the palate, with complimentary elements of mint, apple blossoms, and Asian pears. The first sip is supple on the palate leading to a finish with firm structure and grip. This is a truly remarkable wine.”

A nose of heavy citrus with an under pining of fresh cut grass. The flavor is heavily citrus on the palate, dry, with a minerality and flavors of lemon, peach, and high acidic fruits. The finish is slightly vegetal and surprisingly dry, but very tasty. Paired with Thai food. — 11 hours ago
Old Westminster Winery out of Maryland makes good Piquette, but this isn’t exactly pure Piquette. It’s a wine/piquette hybrid of both first and repressed juice - about 10% ABV.
Blinded by the light - delicious lemon drop summer shandy of Piquette Blanc, Gruner, and Vidal Blanc. Hazy yeasty lemon salty peaches. — 5 days ago
