Nice representative amarone - dark ruby coloration. Cherry and spices on the nose. Cherry, prune, spice and chocolate on the palate. Full bodied and rich with a decent finish. — 3 years ago
Very delicious Italian white paired with sea scallops and linguini. Basically a scampi. Crisp minerality. Would buy again very approachable and enjoyed by a wide variety of drinkers. — 4 years ago
Runt red, full bodied, delicious cherry, raisins, touch of oak, smooth finish. Very drinkable. — 5 years ago
Time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delightful and unique Napa Cabernet.
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity.
Fruity nose with cherries, black plums, sweet strawberries, licorice, light vanilla, oak, spices, light vegetables, pencil lead and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with sweet raspberries, cherries, oak, light vanilla, spices, vegetables, earth, leather, tobacco leaf, graphites, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very nice Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Not a typical Napa Cabernet, and very enjoyable. Balanced with mild complexity.
Easy to drink, soft and smooth with mostly red fruits. Not as fruit forward, in your face, kind of red wine, as I expected from a Napa Cabernet, but rather a soft red wine with lots of elegance. Feels like a graceful right bank Bordeaux.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and remove some of the acidity.
Would age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years and bring in some more complexity. I would want to try this in two to three years to see how it evolves, as I see it might be a little young right now.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon,
6% Merlot, and 4% Cab Franc. Aged for 22 Months in 100% French Oak
(50% New).
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Naso intrigante di frutti tropicali e ricordi di piccoli frutti rossi. Bella bocca piena e croccante, sapida e avvolgente. Piacevolmente persistente.
Davvero interessante! — 10 years ago
The Riserva is bold, well structured, luscious and elegant with a long finish. Competes quite well with the other well known names. A hard to find gem. — 9 months ago

Tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa valley. Doesn't drink like one, though. Feels more like a right bank Bordeaux.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and interesting. Not a typical Napa Cabernet style.
This 8-year-old Is drinking nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
I had it 4 years ago, and liked it better this time. Showing more complexity now, which I loved.
Good by itself and better with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 4% Cab Franc. Aged for 22 Months in 50% new French Oak barrels. A small production of only 976 bottles.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Complex. Nice core of orchard fruit, prominent apples, complimented by stone, salt, and maybe a tad of white pepper. Plus, smoke, rose, and grass. Great structure, silky texture, soft on the palate, nice backbone. Very alluring. — 5 years ago

Espressione di nebbiolo straordinaria! Vino elegante, fine, potente. Sentori di liquirizia e terziario molto calibrati e precisi. Piccoli frutti rossi. Straordinario — 9 years ago
From a hill in front of Verona, windy and with olive trees, a Valpolicella superiore like a few others. Perfectly balanced, fruity and spicy — 10 years ago
Minty again. As in ‘13. Deep cassis nose, deceptively rich, the body is much more lifted and bright than the nose would initially lead you to. Minerality but soft. It screams Tuscany. That ineffable quality of underbrush and cedar mixed with blue/black fruits. Of course, I could be imposing this. So much nicer( for us) than most Cali cabs in terms of lightness/acidity. A nice partner w food. Second time w this wine, and I will say that that their use of wood, both piccoli and grande, is deft. There’s weight, but w/o obscuring the fruit or feel.

We loved this! The lingering taste was the best part of this, can’t wait to try it with food.
