Boisrenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2021

Dark purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Black fruits with wood, earth and chocolate notes on the nose.

Full-bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, peppercorn, coffee, earth and black tea.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Grenache based blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Rich and concentrated. Showing good structure, but still very young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Complex and well balanced, tangy and engaging. The high alcohol is not too noticeable. Needs time to open up properly, so be patient.

Wine Spectator 92 points. Robert Parker 94 points.

A good quality wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of mostly Grenache, with all 13 grape varieties allowed in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, from 80 year old vines. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Sancerre Pinot Noir 2020

We had it on a restaurant. Its a pinot from the Loire, very fine and elegant, we had a most enjoyable experience with it. Great QPR. — 3 months ago

Pommard Les Noizons Pinot Noir 2023

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2023 “Noizons” pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with abundant bright and tart red fruit with red florals: raspberry, strawberry, roses, mixed spices, and a combination of organic and inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A very pretty wine that is very young. I expect it to flesh out over the next five years and be quite lovely through 2038. — 8 months ago

The Paul Pernot wines have always underwhelmed me. Pity.

2005. Perhaps a bit past its prime. But still excellent. Morphed to a chalky sense on the palate. Still loved it. — 3 months ago

Boisrenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc White Rhone Blend 2022

2022 vintage. Medium-medium heavy body. Solid/decent but twere this the first white Rhône I’d ever had, could take it or leave it. Not a big impression. Woulda preferred a Coke Slurpee. 07.11.25 — 9 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2022

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fresh red berries on the nose with Indian spices and chocolate notes.

Medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and complex.

Showing raspberries, cherries, black currants, plums, light oak, spices, chocolates, earth, coffee, wet leaves and herbs.

Medium length on the finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is very approachable, and already drinking beautifully, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.

Well balanced and tangy, with good structure. Spicy and entertaining. Alcohol is nicely integrated already. Complex and engaging.

I had this wine as a 20 year old, and it was so much better with age.

This 2022 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is already showing its possibilities. Will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.

Delicious by itself or with food.

A blend of mostly Grenache, from 40 year old vines, with all 13 grapes allowed in the appellation. Aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

15% alcohol by volume.
