Paso Grande

Ridge Vineyards

Benito Dusi Ranch Paso Robles Zinfandel 2021

No sediment, so I popped and poured. Explosive nose has super-deep, pure spicy blackberry Zin fruit. Purity of fruit is a hallmark (in my experience) of Ridge’s Dusi Ranch cuvée. There’s also a bit of clove from the American oak, but it’s pretty subtle. Great intensity of flavor in the mouth, with a soft, enveloping texture. It’s big, at 14.8%, but it’s balanced. And keeping things under 15 in Paso is challenging. Terrific wine. Yummo. — 13 days ago

They are the King’s of Champagne for a reason.

Beautiful mousse. Both yellow & white stone fruits, tropicals, lime & lemon zest/pulp, green & red apple, cream to whipped cream, ginger skin, grey volcanics-limestone minerals, white spice, taunt chalk, baguette crust, sea fossils/foam, white spring flowers, yellow lilies, excellent acidity, balance, structure, tension & elegance for days with a finish that ends balanced on fruit & minerality.

this is our recent go-to for steak night — it’s a healthy balance of earthy and fruity and is complicated but in a way that works well as a table wine. win-win! — 5 days ago

Fully agree - but not every one keeps them for that long. I had a 1974 Krug some time back. One of the best wines i ever had. But on the shelf 1400$.
