Vanilla bean and mocha come together with hints of kirsch and a peppery Cabernet Sauvignon flourish as the 2019 Isosceles forms up in the glass. This is pure elegance, velvety smooth yet energetic, with depths of ripe red and blue fruit that coast across the palate with ease. The Isosceles excels through its acidity, as the mouth waters throughout the long and dramatic finish. Gingery spices and hints of sweet blueberry preserves linger on. Well done. This is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024)

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2019 “Isosceles” pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of dark brambles, crème de cassis, tobacco, Fresno chilis, Mexican chocolate, dry earth and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is a big, powerful wine but it’s fairly balanced. I would drink now though it probably wouldn’t struggle to see past 2029.

2018 in 2024. Could use some more time in the cellar.

2/2023. Nice robust cab blend. Has it all, flavor, full bodied and really nice on the palate.

Walmart here in Omaha has this on the shelf. Mis-marked at $30 a jug, that happens a lot with them

79% cab sav. 11% cab franc. 10% merlot. A little tart. May need more time in the bottle. Plus this vintage has a lower cab sav percentage than previous years and the alcohol content is 1.1% higher. I think this combo did the line a disservice.
