Drank this at Vino Veritas with John King and Emma on 11/12/18. Not as tannin-y as most Tempranillo wines. Very good! — 8 years ago
Very interesting. A play on sweet and sour. Plump yellow raisins, apricots, orange zest, orange bitters. — 8 years ago
Last bottle of the Stanford case. Decanted and enjoyed with grilled sirloin, Churrascuria style. Sweeter with air — 9 years ago
Very nice! — a year ago
A nice Bojo while I watch Stanford v. Texas. Love the nose on this. Just explosively granitic, but there’s some cherry/wild berry fruit and pungent spice too. Much more austere on the palate than the last bottle I had a year ago. Bone dry, pretty much all granite, and a tad astringent. It’s very enjoyable now, but extrapolating the two date points (now and a year ago) suggests to me that these should be drunk up.
UPDATE: Night 2, the fruit is more present and the wine is softer. Maybe it’s night 1 showing simply reflects a dumb phase. Upping from 9.0 to 9.1. — 3 years ago

At the Stanford Grill with Rich and Marsha. Also previously with Terry and Marie. — 7 years ago
NOT served at the Stanford Guest House...had to make a run to a local beer and wine shop to survive reviewing 11 proposals before 8am tomorrow morning. I’m not a fan of everything Ommegang produces, but this is terrific. Nice aromas of malt and some molasses on the nose, smooth and rich across the palate, with a lingering, slightly (but not too) sweet finish. — 8 years ago
Awesome. Paired with take out sushi / sashimi ... no appetite for cooking after family in for 3 days. This Nebbiolo works after dinner too paired with board games with the kids and (8) Notre Dame vs (21) Stanford — 9 years ago

Brazilian steakhouse and a night tour of Stanford 🌲 🏈 . Thanks for the great hospitality Michael & Henrik, look forward to more visits.
Now the wine:
Raspberries, floral notes, toasted oak, light body. Paired well with the filet and skirt steak. The Pelissa vineyard is located on Oakville Crossroads directlybehind the family winery, creating this Estate grown & produced Zinfandel. — 9 years ago

We bought this bottle in Alba, while on a Stanford hiking trip through the Langhe. After 4 years, we opened it, and found a dark colored, light fruity wine, which was also quite dry. A great complement to a pasta meal. — 9 years ago
