This is still gorgeous and fresh. A lovely savory nose and palate. A whiff of band aid and deep raspberry. Some iodine, leather, dried herbs and an animal depth and salinity. Really spectacular stuff. So nice to not have sweetness and oak but a gorgeous long wine. — a month ago
fully opaque ruby violet core, magenta rim, prominent tears; blackberry jam, black cherry, mint, thyme, subtle oak; red and black fruits, medium long tannic finish; full bodied, medium+ acidity, prominent tannins, 14.7% ABV; blend contains 5% Petit Verdot from Ellis Alden Vineyard in Alexander Valley and 5% Malbec from Blau Vineyard in knights Valley, Cabernet sourced from their Dry Creek Valley estate vineyard which is benchland with a significant portion also from Ellis Alden Vineyard, indigenous fermentation, aged 2 years in French oak with about a third new; $40 — 2 months ago
