Another vintage of an interesting and unusual white version of Tempranillo. Dark golden color. Aromas of melon, white flowers and dried grass. Flavors of cantaloupe, raw almonds and pie dough. Nice touch of chalky minerality on the long finish. Crisp acidity with a viscous and creamy texture. Medium bodied and excellent length. Totally food friendly. This will work with the ribeyes tonight. A really solid Mencia for the price. Dark fruit, leather, some vanilla, wet leaves. Tannic and acidic, great for the fat I'm about to consume.
