If I could sum up Highland Park 30 with emojis it would be: 😬 🐸 😍 48% alcohol? Zero burn. Fresh caramel. Hint of smoke. No other scotch I've had in my lifetime compares. — 11 years ago
The “Orkneyinga” was a 2018 limited release to help raise money to protect historic sites on the island. It’s basically a blend of ex-Sherry, American and European oak barrels aged for a minimum of 12 years. Notes of light peat, honey comb, flowers, and cashews. The finish is long and awesome. About 5000 bottles were produced. — 2 years ago
A wonderful gift from Chris and Leslie’s trip to Scotland. Perfect balance of sweet and dry. — 8 years ago
Finally found Odin and it does not disappoint. Probably the best of the Valhalla collection slightly ahead of Freya. — 9 years ago
Complex. The Orkney peat beating you silly, while the honey and biscuit malted tones in the mid palette are making it up to you. Long, fire breathing finish. I Let mine open with a few drops of water. — 10 years ago
Excellent single malt scotch. — 12 years ago
I don’t often post whisky but then I do, it’s because they’re pretty special. This is no exception. A rather unusual barrel pick, this 14-year Highland Park was aged in what appears to be a sherry cask (color, aroma, flavor) and bottled at cask strength. Notes of cola, coffee, potpourri, smoke and pepper with a rich, fuller body. I called it the Dr. Pepper of Scotch. The finish is forever long. Sadly, I’ll probably never get to experience this again. — 4 years ago

Peated or sherry?
This is a great Viking style brew. You know, compared to the other Viking style brews I've had..... — 10 years ago

I’m liking this. Could have a bit more punch and duration but it’s definitely nice and wish I had more. — 8 months ago
