From Magnum. Opened about an hour before dinner; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best after a couple of hours. The 2015 “Domaine de Thalabert”pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and desiccated fruit: blueberries, figs, lavender, Kalamata olive, leather, coffee, Bacon fat, spices, and organic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This was pretty shy and awkward early but after significant air, it came alive. Lots of life left. Drink now through 2035. — 3 months ago

Huckleberry, olive tapenade, jerky. Acidity was a little out balance. — 6 months ago
Classic CdP and an iconic producer. Blackberry, dark fruits, herbs, spice, olive, earth. Full bodied, but low-to-medium tannins and great concentration. Fantastic with Mediterranean food. — a month ago
Always a treat with its perfumed aromatics, balanced dark cherry, berry fruits, spice, mineral, graphite, iron, olive, pepper & violets — 4 months ago

Ripe plum, mulberry, touch of smoke, cassis, tobacco, faint olive and blueberry fruit leather. Subtle C. Howard’s Violet candy on the nose. Certainly developed over a two hour decant into many exciting layers. A superlative example of this grape and such a wonderful full bodied wine for those with all tastes and palates. — 5 days ago
