Throwback for me. As Zin was my go to grape in the 90s, the single vineyard Ravenswood wines were my favorites! I visited in 1999/2000ish and drank from the barrels.
900 cases made, this has a bold blueberry and black pepper nose, mint adds on the palate, a bit more mellow than I remember it, which is great for my older taste. Medium plus body, medium tannins.

This 4 year old single Vineyard Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley is drinking very nicely now.
Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, strawberries, tobacco, light wood, spices, earth and peppercorn.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins.
This is a spicy Pinot Noir once it opens up (1 hour).
I gave it a light chill and had it by the lake. Tasty wine.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself or with food. I paired it with Brie cheese and olives.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Watched MN Gophers mens hockey shut out Buckeyes in hockey. Should be a 10, but give solid rating. 1880's vines being saved by Bedrock so us Schmucks can watch hockey with wine. What could be better?? — 7 days ago
Wine #4 of the night. The winner of the night! Fresh, young and juicy. The 15.7 alcohol was completely hidden behind plump, juicy fruits, soft oak and spice and superbly supple tannins. These wines age beautifully but the purity of a younger vintage is truly awesome. — 8 days ago
