Oh yes, this is exactly what I want in my Chardonnay. More Chablis than Côte de Beaune. A sublime mix of tropical fruit, lemon and minerals. Super crisp and wonderfully refreshing. The acid plays on the palate for over a minute. Impeccably well done and such an outlier from other Napa and Sonoma Chardonnays. — 4 years ago
Oh what an interesting wine! The nose is full of captivating floral and spicy perfume with a hint of stone fruit. Cooked apple, almonds, minerals and lemon curd on the pallet. There is ever present spice on the long finish. Bone dry and crisp acidity. Medium minus body. Zesty! — 2 years ago
Oh what a beauty it was. From perhaps Napa’s best vintage in the 80’s. Alive and well with wonderful complexity, an alluring bouquet and soft silky tannins. Caresses the palate with each sip. Sweet red currants, cedar, spice box, sweet tobacco and crushed red flowers. Finishes with impressive length and persistence. — 4 years ago

Rustic Chardonnay! What a fun wine. Amazing QPR. — 2 years ago
Decanted for a two hours before we got into this bottle and then consumed over the following three hours. This is one of the more unique producers from Chateauneuf du Pape as they are known to have the most prized and oldest Mourvèdre in the region. Initially, this had the funkiest aroma, almost that of a high school locker room. Thankfully, that blew off after about five minutes. What remained was a powerful, concentrated wine with a bouquet of red and blue fruits with garrigue and exotic spices. On the palate, red cherries and baked blueberries and an unmistakable kiss of black pepper. Very good acid and sneaky tannins; characteristic of the vintage. And while the 15% abv is kept fairly well in check, it does have a touch of heat on the finish. Fun to try one now but I expect this to show better after 2025. — 3 years ago
What a screaming fun wine! Low alcohol, unique, fruit forward but balanced, red berries and Italian herbs and some hints of balsamic. The texture was light with some slight effervescence. Thank you Stolpman for making unique and much needed wines! — 5 years ago

Incredible. Deep ruby with a little light on the edge to show its age. Cassis, black currant and blackberry, hint of smoke, cigar, slate and earth. Gripping tannins at first. Aerate for five minutes to smooth it out. Medium body and finish. Big but easy to drink. This can go for another ten years. Oh man. What an amazing treat. Thanks David. — 4 months ago
