Medium lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot, peach and lemon citrus, vanilla and toasty spice, rich texture. Long finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, oak, toasty spice and sweet citrus character. — 6 months ago

Enjoyable sipping red. One of the better pinot noirs! — 8 years ago
Uplifting. A special process from a special vintage. Just the nose is a beautiful enticement. Rising up far out of the glass offering thick floral and mouth watering apricot, peach golden raisin aromas.it has a strange satisfying savory depth and the expected dense and viscous body but without being cloying... should have drunk younger but ....still it’s just so yum. — 8 years ago
Another awesome tasting at the weekly Wine Committee. Always such a treat when I get invited to taste such wonderful wines blind! Got to taste with Weston, the owner of Montagu, as he attends these fairly often. Should of known there would be a Montagu sighting!
It's no secret I love Montagu. It's been great seeing the quality of each vintage build upon itself, and it was the first time I'd tasted the '13 and '14 back to back. Montagu has been trying a few different vineyards for their chards, but the difference in no malolactic fermentation ('13) vs malo ('14) is becoming more clear. Love the purity of the '13. It was hard guessing these as they were whites 1 and 3, with a curveball for number 2! — 9 years ago
