@Delectable Wine this is a new producer. Nicolas Champagneaux. What a wine. I love this in 2016. Gorgeous nose. Little bit of wood, zany florals, complex violets and iris, wow, some game, so bright, palate is an exercise in finesse and precision. Juicy and linear but with just unreal finesse and precision. Fresh and juicy with lovely almost cassis fruit and light blackberry. Gorgeous. Needs a bit of time to integrate the wood but it is all there. Very precise and lingering finish. — 4 days ago
Tart raspberry, tart cherry, cranberry sauce, cedar, menthol, mint, juniper, with chewy tannins and high acid. This Beaujolais, a young muscular wine, is a great value sipper. — 15 hours ago
Disgorged 04/2018. Dosage 6g/l. 78% Pinot Noir, 16% Chardonnay, 6% Meunier. Predominantly 2014 (35%). Pale yellow, crisp acidity, with lemon notes. — 10 days ago
Wednesday Wine Committee. Great hosting by Gavin. 1 sparkler, 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 dessert wines. All served blind as usual.
Classic and down the middle. Almost Viognier like with the floral aromatics and lack of acidity. Cinnamon, baking spices, lemon bar, and sea shell notes on the palate. Bordering on steely. — 21 days ago
I love French bubbles - a true treat with each sip, and this does not disappoint. Toasty, wheaty full bodied brut in the grand French style to kick off a night of fun or a quiet night at home with a meal or even by itself...the choices are the same as the number of bubbles coming up! Cheers! — 5 days ago
Terrific wine. I chilled it and loved it. Cranberries, earthy, spicy, and a pleasant dark roasted coffee bitterness. So much fun. Would totally buy again! — 8 days ago
