Nearing the end of its window but still drinking well. — 4 months ago
Nice chardonnay with pleasantly present oak character and butteriness, well balanced wine — 5 months ago
A fine drink — 7 months ago
I bought this from barrel tasting at Nickel & Nickel’s luncheon futures, Entrecote En Baguette. Tasted 20 Cabernets and this and the Sori Brico were the two Sofia and I purchased.
Dark currants, medium plus tannins, anise to black licorice, dry leather & tobacco, dry herbs and thick, dark florals that are framed in violets and lavender. — a month ago
14.5% abv. Lovely delicious wine. It was strange that first sip was so off but in a matter of minutes it transformed into a gorgeous wine. Paired with caviar and sushi. Perfect match. — 3 months ago
Pretty dark purple in color. Aroma has a big caramel impression with some dried fruits layered in - think date. Body is heavy syrup like that finishes velvety. Great balance between a tart acidity and medium sweetness. Age has been very kind to this bottle. — 7 months ago
Excellent. Likely the best Syrah we’ve had in a long time. Time does this well. Still dusty and big but balanced. — 2 months ago
Excellent. Still a very big wine but opens wonderful. Real treat! — 2 months ago
Was worried that this would be fruity and oaky. I should’ve known not to worry. The nickel family is serious about this wine. It’s very dark and I fear too young. Stood up very well with steak and punched back. Hit it with 100% pure oxygen and it’s still tight. Has some nice savory notes hiding the fruit here. Feel like I’m eating the wine. But I like it. — 5 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
A great Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 18 months in French oak, about 50% new, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, cigar box, lavender and spicy scents. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with cacao, floral and minty notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, leather, tobacco, espresso and earthy character on a long finish. Very Nice. Will age. — 16 days ago
