Very nice wine I enjoy with Yuki best friend. Super easy going wine to drink, fruity notes — 6 years ago
Strong mlf and smoke aromas, deep red colour, good balance of flavours with stewed blackberries, black pepper, and genuine clove flavours (as the label suggests!), nutmeg. High acid high tannin, good structure, you could keep for another 3-5 But hot to trot now. NB this was not navigator, it was 100% Shiraz — 8 years ago

Now THIS is my jam. I have no idea what Costco put into this blend but it's amazing. — 10 years ago
Outstanding wine buy it if you see it. Well balanced with great flavour. — 11 years ago
Salt and brambles on the nose. Blackberry fruit on the front. Smooth tannic structure. Mild chlorophyll on the mid palate, with a delightful jangle of tart mineral high notes on its brief finish. — 4 months ago
Estate dates back to Crusades & Scottish navigator, George Smith, owner in the 18th century. Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot aged in 20% new oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry, herbs and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry & currant with notes of pepper, tobacco & cacao notes. Soft rich full tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy and mineral character, needs a little more time. — 3 years ago
Good - thanks to my friends at Wine Slash! — 7 years ago
Very supple. Lots of flavor. Few too many tannins for my taste. — 8 years ago
1994 was a big year in California... the Northridge earthquake, OJ, Apple's Power Mac, Netscape Navigator, Green Day's Dookie, and this Cabernet from Stonestreet. This is the only one that's still relevant today.
Upon opening I could tell there was plenty left in the tank. I had my concerns, though, with how brett-y and damp the initial funk it gave off was, but the fruit was showing through. It needed 45 minutes before it was noticeably better. The surprise was how much it continued improving over the next two hours, leveling off at style reminiscent of 1989 Left Bank Bordeaux... an entanglement of dried black cherry, coffee, graphite, pipe tobacco, and dried herbs with an edge of pine, but with a slightly more pronounced oak influence. The hint of damp earth remains to linger in the background. I'm not sure I'd risk it, but this could probably go another decade. Superb. — 9 years ago
Del Mar wine tasting 3/20/16. — 10 years ago
Big juicy thing but also quite quaffable. Very reasonably priced. Nice bottle to bring to a party or just drink alone while quietly weeping. — 4 months ago
Delicious with Thanksgiving dinner — 7 months ago
It’s beautiful from the first sip till the last one!! — 4 years ago
Cassis, black fruits, violets and red liquorice nose. Well structured on the palate with bright, floral acidity, and soft, subtle tannins. Short, pleasant finish that pairs well with a bit of char, and unique BBQ flavours. — 8 years ago
Dates back to the Crusades & Scottish navigator, George Smith, owner in 18th century, followed by M. Duffour-Dubergier, Mayor of Bordeaux, then Louis Eschenauer, wine shipper. In 1990, Daniel & Florence Cathiard now own estate. A blend of 55% Cab Sauv, 40% Merlot, 4% Cab Franc, & 1% Petit Verdot. Dark red with dark berry fruit aromas, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate rich & complex ripe black fruit flavors, oak & cacao. Firm rich tannins, full, lingering, perfect balance. L-T aging. — 8 years ago
Navigator selection. Intense and not recognizable to me as gamay. — 12 years ago

Crazy bottle with a star map. And it’s heavy too. Fairly dark. Smells like Zin. Warm strawberries, hot lumber, cedar. Flavors are warm and fruity. Baked cherries and berry cobbler. Complexity and interesting elements are here. Tart and tannic as well. This is a lovely Lodi Zin. — 5 days ago
