Complex nose of cherry, currant, menthol, Asian spice, and light roast coffee.
Ripe and juicy cherry and red plum with med acidity and med+ tannin. The tannins are smooth and well integrated. Nice, spicy oak notes on the finish.
Really delicious, well made stuff. A bit more oak than I remember from the '15, but it's well integrated. — 4 years ago
Beautiful colour
Not fully mature yet
In its peak bracket I'd say
Cherry, blood orange, floral too
Leather, tar, rubber
Little liquorice
Various spices
Palate is amazing
Medium body
So clean, incisive, precise
Tannins present giving support and we are talking velvet...maybe Oz velvet🤣
Though we are tasting quite an old bottle that I paid 35 bucks
I say delicious 😜🙏 — 6 years ago
Delectable - this is the Winemaker’s Selection Marsanne from Chateau Tahbilk - not offered in your Database, which is odd considering that Tahbilk have the largest acreage of Marsanne in the world including vines planted in 1927. This wine had the characteristic nose of mouldy oranges together with citrus peel. Not dissimilar to a mature Semillon but more unctuous on the palate. Good examples are as long living as good Hunter Valley Semillon. Chateau Tahbilk is located in central Victoria in the Goulburn Valley. Will go on for a few years yet. — 2 years ago

Winemaker Paul Bridgeman is very fond of the Rhone varieties.
He used to work at Chave and meny other big names from that oart of the world.
The barrels in their cellar, wjere they age the wines have names...Jean Louis, Thierry, Alain and so on..
This wine was a long time dream for him and you can tell there is a lot of care and love in it.
For the price this is a steal 2021 released now.
Far from the Nagambie Lakes marsanne wines. More in the European style.
Great man great wine. — 5 months ago
