First time tasting a Rougeard this old. Super lean, green bean at first. Opened surely, but very slowly. Tannins are extreme and fruit subtle - an ethereal quality to this wine unlike anything I'm used to. Graphite, mineral, tension. Honored to try it! #thankyou #thelittlenell — 5 years ago
still remarkably young and vibrant. completely delicious and seductive. 1999 vintage. — 5 years ago
Mr. Spittoon and I received this lovely award-winning Swan Valley wine as a wedding gift. Thank you Pinelli Estate! We cracked it the other night and were completely smitten with how this nearly 10 year old Chenin Blanc is tasting.

It's a golden yellow in the glass with definite aged aromas on the nose of honeydew melon, banana and a touch of caramel. After taking a sniff, the palate surprises you with it's lively, vibrant and refreshing qualities. The thing that came to mind when swirling this around my mouth was a lemon honey ice tea. It's a wine my palate won't be forgetting easily and is definitely a wine highlight of 2016 for me.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #pinelliestate #mrsspittoon #thankyou — 3 years ago
